Am I My Brother's Keeper? Judaism, Democracy, and Our Shared Responsibility

Join Rabbi Kolby at Har Mishpacha Friday evening, June 26, 2026 from 5:30-6:30pm for a thought-provoking conversation exploring one of humanity's oldest and most enduring questions: Am I my brother's keeper? Beginning with a story from Genesis and drawing on Jewish wisdom, Ambassador Michele Taylor will examine themes of responsibility, human dignity, equality, community, and democracy—and what they can teach us about living together in a diverse society.

The talk will be followed by an open discussion led by Rabbi Kolby. People of all faiths, backgrounds, and viewpoints are warmly welcome to attend. In fact, we hope for a diverse group of participants, because thoughtful conversation across differences is democracy in action. Come prepared to listen, learn, share your perspective, and engage in a respectful dialogue about the responsibilities we owe one another and the kind of society we hope to build together.
